Description
A central-to-western Flores expedition built on volcanic highland riding, a lake ascent, and dramatic coastal-to-mountain transitions. This is not a simple point-to-point ride — it's a journey of constant elevation change, technical cornering, and ever-shifting natural exposure. Designed for riders chasing precision riding on mountain roads, dramatic visuals, and a blend of endurance and technical flow.
Activities
-
Day 1 Ende → Kelimutu → Riung
±170–200 km · Volcanic ascent + coastal transition
Sunrise assault to Kelimutu National Park — one of Flores' most iconic highlights, climbing through cold air and thin mist.
Long dramatic descent from the mountains to the north coast toward Riung.
Tight cornering with significant elevation change.
Extreme temperature shift (cold highland → hot coast).
Final section: coastal calm with a fishing-village vibe.
-
Day 2 Explore Riung → Bajawa
±140–170 km · Coastal flow + mountain climb
A relaxed Riung exploration before climbing back to the Bajawa highlands — the transition from sea to volcanic plateau.
Light coastal cruising to start.
Long climb into the highlands as the air turns cold.
Riding rhythm becomes more technical near Bajawa.
-
Day 3 Bajawa → Bena → Savana Misui → Ruteng
±150–180 km · Highland technical + cultural stop
One of the richest days for scenery and riding — starting at the Bena traditional village, then into the open savanna of Misui.
Continuous cornering all day.
Landscape shifts: village → savanna → mountain forest.
Steady elevation flow (up–down without pause).
Finish in cool-aired Ruteng.
-
Day 4 Ruteng → Cancar → Golowelu → Labuan Bajo
±130–160 km · Highland descent + scenic closing
The main closing ride with the most flowing route — starting via the Lingko spider-web rice fields of Cancar, then heading west.
Long, stable corners.
Gradual descent toward the sea.
Scenic approach to Labuan Bajo.
Iconic sunset finish.
-
Day 5 Explore Labuan Bajo (Golomori & Teletubbies Hill)
±60–90 km · Light ride + savanna
A relaxed exploration day around Labuan Bajo — light riding to the savanna and best viewpoints.
Rolling savanna ride.
Short access road to the hilltop viewpoint.
Visual focus & recovery — a non-endurance day.
