Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 2026-07
By joining a Sahabat Overland journey, you confirm that you have read and agreed to these terms.
1. General Requirements
- Participants must read and understand all trip information before registering.
- By registering, you are deemed to have accepted all applicable terms.
- You must be in adequate physical condition and able to ride according to the trip character (off-road / mixed terrain).
2. Booking
- Choose a tour date on the website, then Book Your Ride to open WhatsApp.
- An inquiry is not a confirmed seat. We confirm details, availability, and payment in chat.
- Full dates are marked by our team in admin.
3. Participant Responsibility
- You must ensure all data provided is accurate and your phone number is reachable for coordination.
- You are fully responsible for your personal belongings during the trip.
- We recommend bringing your own suitable riding gear (helmet, protective equipment, etc.).
4. Changes & Cancellation
Plans change. Terms for a date change or cancellation are confirmed with you on WhatsApp before you ride.
- Tell us as early as you can if you cannot join.
- Force majeure (weather, disaster, regulation) is handled case by case, with a reschedule as the first option.
5. Itinerary Flexibility
The organizer reserves the right to adjust the itinerary based on weather, safety, or field conditions. Adjustments are made without reducing the essence of the experience.
6. Support & Operational Limitation
- The support system improves safety and smoothness but does not remove the risks inherent in touring and off-road riding.
- You remain responsible for your own riding decisions throughout the trip.
7. Force Majeure
The organizer is not liable for changes, delays, or cancellations caused by events beyond our control — including natural disasters, extreme weather, security disruptions, government policy, pandemics, accidents, or other emergencies. In such cases, the itinerary will be adjusted without any obligation for a full refund.
8. Risk Acknowledgment & Liability Waiver
You understand that motorcycle touring carries risks, including accidents, physical injury, property damage, and unforeseen field conditions. By joining, you knowingly accept these risks and release the organizer from any claims or legal liability — except in cases proven to result from the organizer's gross negligence.
9. Final Agreement
By sending an inquiry and joining a trip, you agree to these terms.
10. Insurance Policy
Mandatory awareness, recommended protection.
- Every participant is strongly advised to hold personal travel insurance covering personal accident, medical evacuation, and motorcycle riding.
- The organizer does not provide individual insurance as a standard package unless stated otherwise.
- Any costs arising from accidents, injuries, or medical conditions during the trip are the participant's responsibility.
11. Riding License Requirement
- You must hold an active SIM C (domestic participants) or an International Driving Permit (IDP) for international participants.
- You are responsible for ensuring your riding documents are valid throughout the trip.
- The organizer may refuse participation if legal riding requirements are not met.
12. Motorcycle Damage Liability
- Each unit is handed over in prime condition.
- You are responsible for damage from misuse, accidents during use, or loss of components/accessories.
- Repair or replacement costs are assessed objectively by the Sahabat Overland technical team based on the level of damage and parts/labor prices.
13. Motor Center & Equipment
- Bikes and gear used on a tour are confirmed before departure.
- You are responsible for damage from misuse or loss of parts, as assessed by our team.
14. Medical Declaration
- You must be in adequate physical and mental condition to join the trip.
- You must inform the organizer of any medical history, injury, or condition that could affect your riding.
- The organizer may refuse or limit participation for the safety of everyone.
- In a medical emergency, the organizer will assist with evacuation, but all costs remain the participant's responsibility.
